PAYMENT PLAN INFORMATION

The Cal Arts payment plan is an Interest-Free Monthly Payment Plan, handled by Tuition Management Systems, which allows you to divide tuition and other expenses into four or five smaller monthly payments spread out over the semester.

The cost to enroll is $41.00 per semester. There is no interest or other costs as long as you make your payments on time. If your payment is late, there is a $30.00 late fee.

Once enrolled, you will be billed monthly. Payments can be made through Tuition Management Systems online, by phone or by mail. Automatic monthly deductions from your checking or savings accounts are available at no additional cost. If paying with a credit card, a convenience fee will be charged. Tuition Management Systems does not accept Visa.

For the fall semester, TMS offers a four or five payment plan. If you are on the four payment plan your payments are due by August 1^st, September 1^st, October 1^st and November 1^st. If you are on the five payment plan, your payments start on July 1^st. If your semester balance is not paid in full by November 10, 2009, you will not be eligible for a payment plan the following semester.

For the spring semester, TMS offers a five payment plan. Your payments are due by December 1^st, January 1^st, February 1^st, March 1^st and April 1^st. If your semester balance is not paid in full by April 10, 2010, you will not be eligible for a payment plan the following semester.

If you have a history of delinquent payments you may not be eligible for a payment plan in the future.

An “Estimated Payment Worksheet” is provided here to help you determine what your “direct costs” to CalArts will be. It may also be helpful in determining how much loan you may choose to borrow. Please note that this is only a tool for “estimating” your bill. You will have access to your actual bill at a later date.
